At Parker Educational Consulting, LLC we seek to empower and engage high school students in preparing for their futures by encouraging academic, financial, and personal planning. Regardless of one's life experiences, family background, race, or income-level, we know that all students can cultivate and actualize their dreams. Joining in the effort to increase college admissions and graduation rates are our consultants who include current and former university instructors, teachers, researchers, evaluators, admission recruiters, and academic affairs personnel. By utilizing our expertise and past experiences, we seek to serve students through innovative enrichment programming. At Parker Educational Consulting, LLC we believe that every child should grow up knowing that they can and will be successful in college.
As a wrap-around educational consulting service, we focus on students by delivering high-impact professional development and enrichment services to schools, alongside parent engagement workshops. With the help of Parker Educational Consulting, LLC students hone the Opportunity to Empower © others by becoming financially savvy, aware of the college application process, and knowledgeable of college student academic expectations themselves. Dr. Jasmine D. Parker, Founder & Owner
About our Founder
A native of Dallas, Texas, Dr. Jasmine D. Parker is a proud alumna of the Dallas Independent School District. Throughout her high school years, she served as Class Secretary, President of the National Honor Society, volunteer at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital, and founded an annual "Canned Food Fest Extravaganza," to benefit the North Texas Food Bank and alleviate inner-city hunger. While a student at the Judge Barefoot Sanders School for Public Service: Government, Law, and Law Enforcement, she also worked in both the political and legal sectors. As the 2005 "Eagle Award" recipient, Dr. Parker exhibited great dedication and commitment to a career in the service of others.
Driven by the ardent desire to relieve herself and her parents from the burden of school loan debt, Dr. Parker set out to procure scholarship monies for her college education. Over the years she successfully amassed an estimated $470,000 in scholarship monies which thereby allowed her the opportunity to pursue undergraduate, graduate, and professional study!
She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in History at Prairie View A&M University ('09 summa cum laude), Master of Arts in Educational Policy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign ('10), legal education at Indiana University-Bloomington: Maurer School of Law (2010-2011), and Ph.D. in Education Policy, Organization & Leadership with concentrations in Educational Administration & Leadership from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign ('15).
